Jose (Joe) Silva, D.C., A.C.N.
Cheryl Silva, D.C.
Dr. Cheryl Silva graduated cum laude from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1997, where she was awarded the Karl Parker Award for Scholastic Excellence. She also attended Texas Woman's University and holds a B.S. in Anatomy.
Although Dr. Cheryl treats all types of patients, she finds herself especially drawn to the health issues of women and children. Dr. Cheryl is one of the only chiropractors in the area to experience pregnancy and has first hand knowledge of the needs of the pregnant patient. Silva Chiropractic is equipped with a special table for pregnant patients and a fun children's "tiger" adjusting table. Dr. Cheryl is certified by the I.C.P.A. in the Webster Technique for breech babies. She is very proactive in the nutritional needs of women and children and the avoidance of environmental toxins.
In her "spare time", when she's not running the business, the household and taking care of Catarina and Carston, she likes to exercise: spin class, weights, yoga and running. She also enjoys planning family vacations.
Dr. Cheryl is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association; Healthy Child, Healthy World; The Texas Chiropractic Association and The Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the boards of The Women's Division of the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce and The Kiwanis Club of Mansfield.
Dr. Joe Silva graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1999, where he received the Award for Clinical Excellence. Dr. Joe holds post-graduate certification as an Applied Clinical Nutritionist and also holds a B.S. in Exercise Physiology/Nutrition from Baylor University.
Dr. Joe is passionate about educating his patients about the benefits of chiropractic, nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes that are lasting. He is able to provide alternative care for a wide variety of conditions utilizing diet, supplements, homeopathy and naturopathy. He is currently working toward his diplomate in nutrition.
Dr. Joe's hobbies include exercise: weights, cycling, running and triathlons. He also loves to spend time with their two children, Catarina and Carston.
Dr. Joe is bilingual and is fluent in Spanish. For several years, he volunteered his time as the powerlifting coach for Mansfield Special Olympics teams. He is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, The Children's Heath Environmental Coalition (Healthy Child, Healthy World), The Texas Chiropractic Association and the Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce. He has been a designated doctor for the Texas Worker's Compensation Commission and performed Impairment Ratings and Independent Medical Exams.
